But for the Guru who is there
to show you the way?
The path you've chosen is one where
greed and anger stand like mountains,
between which the river of confusion flows,
dammed up by your tall ego.
Where lust like a thief lurks around,
clouds of pride and envy rain
and the breeze of illusion blows.
Says Kabir, listen, O wise one,
isn't it absurd
to walk this path to cross the world ?
